Robin and I have been trying to find easy ways to cut corners and make our own baby wipes. Finally we found a solution!
The video should explain everything. We quickly put together the video last night figuring that it would be easier to watch than to type!
Learn from our mistakes. In the video we kept the roll wound up. It may be easier to unroll the roll into a flat wad of towels so it fits better in the tub and is easier to tear off!

Believe me, you probably have all the ingredients if you already have a baby in your home! It didnt cost us a thing since we already had paper towels and the baby oil and wash came from a baby shower.
Ingredients:
- Water
- Baby Oil
- Baby Shampoo
- Paper Towel Roll
This is all it takes to make the really expensive wipes you find in the store!

We used to do this without the shampoo. I would saw a roll of paper towels in half, put water and baby oil in a tall food storage container, dunk in the wipes, and let it sit. They I would turn it over, and take out the paper towel tube. Pull towels from the center. Much less irritating than store-bought wipes.
