Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University Week 1

by Robin on September 8, 2008 in Tips

Ok so we went to our first Financial Peace University Class this past Wednesday. Our group seems like a good mix. We have people who have attended the class before and some who are new like us. Our assignment for the week was to set up a quickie budget. Of course this brought up an argument about what we spend money on and how to set up the budget. I wanted to have it like we are going to pay things and Tyler wanted it set up how we are currently living. We also had the issue of the worksheet did not want us to put our personal or student loan on the sheet. I factor these two into our budget because they have to get paid. What we realized with the class was that our debt was not a necessary bill however it my world it has to paid along with the water and electricity. The one thing I did not like with the budget was that you can forget the debt bills as long as you were paying the necessary ones. I know we will go over this tomorrow and make a more extensive budget worksheet.
