Couponing Series: Provide for a Single Mom

by Robin on May 4, 2009 in Tips

Some people say being a mom is one of the hardest jobs around.

It is I will attest that I am exhausted on many nights. Here’s the catch I have help. I am not running out of the office to get to daycare on time, I can take a shower in the morning, and when I need a break I get to run to my room and close the door.

Single moms do it by themselves every day. They are being both parents, providing a stable home for their children and making a living.

If you have extra to give and know of a single mom see what you can do to help her.

I have a friend who is a single mom and on Monday’s I try and have a bag of stuff waiting for her when she gets to work. Whether its deodorant or lunch snacks she is always extremely grateful.

One day I brought her a package of Toilet Paper and you know what she said to me. How did you know I was out of Toilet Paper?  She later informed that if I hadn’t brought her the TP she would have had to make an extra trip when she got home meaning less time at home with her daughter and getting to relax after a stressful day.

It was well worth the $1.10 I paid for the TP and now I strive to find fun things to give her on a weekly basis.
